About me

My name is Billy Carter. Before you ask, Jimmy was not my brother. I know we may look alike. Though there’s no DNA that connects me to President Carter, I do share a passion to serve and add value to my community and the world for as long as I can breathe.

I’m originally from Winston-Salem. I was the only child of a determined single mother. One of my 1st moments of pride from an accomplishment came on my last day of 5th grade at Konnoak Elementary School, where I received a special recognition for being the only student that I recall to never miss a day of school from K-5th grade. An achievement I brag about to this day.

I'm an avid fan of sports. I'll always remember my time with the Winston-Salem Tiny Indians football team, or my time as captain of the Parkland High School wrestling team. I’m also not afraid to say that I am a huge fan of the Duke Blue Devils. I always have time for a friendly debate with Carolina fans.

My professional background consists of a healthy balance of leadership, sales, mentorship, insurance and finance. I’m a proud member of our local Lewisville-Clemmons Chamber of Commerce.

I currently serve as the Career Ambassador for a financial services company. In this role I help support professionals who are looking to grow an entrepreneurial financial practice that they own.

I enjoy serving as a member of our Lewisville Parks & Recreation committee. I’m also the 2nd Vice Chair of the Forsyth County Democratic Party.

As the son of a single mother, I know what working hard everyday looks like. As the son of an MBA graduate, I know what perseverance looks like.

My name is Billy Carter and I will be Looking Out For Lewisville.
